What services do you offer in the U.S.?
We provide LTL, TL, Expedited RockSolid®, Intermodal & Rail, Dedicated Fleet, and Logistics (warehousing, cross-dock, fulfillment). See Services for overviews and CTAs.
Where do you operate?
Nationwide U.S. coverage with cross-border options via our partner network. Share origin/destination ZIPs and we’ll confirm service, transit, and any regional cutoffs.
How do I start a shipment?
Send the basics and we’ll guide you: origin & destination, pieces/skids, weight, dimensions (L×W×H), commodity, NMFC if available, and any accessorials (liftgate, residential, appointment, hazmat). Use Contact Us.
Do you handle residential or limited-access locations?
Yes—just declare it up front so we can plan equipment and appointment windows. These may add accessorial charges.
What info do you need to price my shipment?
- Origin & destination ZIPs (or city/state)
- Pieces/skids, total weight, exact dimensions (L×W×H)
- Commodity description; NMFC/class if available
- Accessorials (liftgate, inside, limited access, appointments, hazmat)
- Target pickup/delivery window
Accurate dims/weight prevent re-rates and delays.
Do you use dimensional weight?
We rate based on class, weight, and cube. Low-density freight can price by dimensional weight. Provide precise dimensions for the most accurate rate.
Can you hold a quote rate?
Quote validity varies by lane and market conditions. We’ll show the expiration date on your quote; book before that date to secure the rate.
How are accessorials billed?
Accessorials are added to the base rate when required or requested (e.g., liftgate, inside, appointment, residential, limited access, hazmat). We include them on your quote if you declare them.
Can you price multi-stop or returns?
Yes—share the stop sequence, addresses, and pieces per stop. We’ll quote the run including dwell allowances where applicable.
What is “limited access”?
Locations with constraints (schools, churches, storage units, construction sites, trade shows, military bases) that require extra time/equipment to service.
Do you offer liftgate service?
Yes. Request liftgate for locations without a dock/forklift. Note weight limits per piece; oversized or over-weight items may need alternative arrangements.
Can you do inside pickup/delivery?
Yes—driver moves freight past the threshold. It’s not a full install/unpack service. Declare if stairs, long carries, or special site rules apply.
Do you schedule delivery appointments?
Yes. Provide receiving hours and contact details and we’ll book the window. Appointment accessorial applies where used.
How fast can you pick up?
Same-day or next-day is common if booked before local cutoff. We’ll confirm based on ZIP and dock capacity.
What are your dock cutoffs?
Cutoffs vary by terminal and lane. When you send origin/destination and ready time, we’ll confirm the day’s cutoff and options.
Can you deliver after-hours or weekends?
Yes where available; premium may apply. Include your window in the request so we can plan crew/equipment.
How do I prepare for pickup?
- Freight packed, banded/shrunk, labeled (shipper/consignee/ref)
- Accurate PRO/BOL and counts
- Dock access or liftgate requested if needed
- Contact on-site with authority to sign
What is Expedited RockSolid®?
Our prioritized, time-definite option for urgent freight, with active monitoring and direct communication to meet your “deliver by” requirement.
Do you offer guaranteed delivery windows?
Where offered and confirmed on your quote, guaranteed-by-window options may be available (e.g., by Noon, by 4 PM). Terms, lanes, and premiums vary by market.
How do you monitor expedited shipments?
Proactive milestone checks from pickup through delivery, with status updates and rapid exception handling if weather/traffic affects the plan.
Can expedited handle hazmat or high-value?
Often yes—with pre-approval, proper documentation, and packaging. Tell us the UN/NA number, class, and SDS to confirm eligibility.
When is intermodal a good fit?
Longer lanes with predictable delivery windows where cost efficiency and sustainability matter more than speed.
What should I know about packaging for rail?
Freight must be secured to withstand rail handling: blocking/bracing, banding, void fill, corner protection, and correct stacking. We’ll advise by commodity.
Do you arrange drayage to/from ramps?
Yes—door-to-door solutions include dray, rail line-haul, and final delivery. Share appointment constraints and ramp preferences if any.
Are intermodal schedules fixed?
Schedules are published but may shift with rail ops/weather. We’ll confirm the service plan and buffer as needed.
What is Dedicated Fleet?
Assets and drivers committed to your operation with custom SLAs, routes, and KPIs—stabilizing cost and service for recurring needs.
Can we brand the equipment?
In many programs, yes. We’ll discuss branding, specs, and compliance requirements during scoping.
How are Dedicated programs priced?
Typically a blend of fixed + variable (miles, hours, stops). We model against your actual volumes and seasonality.
How should I palletize?
- Use sound pallets sized to the load (avoid overhang)
- Distribute weight evenly; heavy items low
- Band and shrink-wrap; cap/top-sheet as needed
- Label each handling unit with shipper/consignee/ref
Do you accept loose cartons?
Palletized freight is strongly preferred for handling and loss prevention. Loose cartons can be accepted but may impact rate and risk.
What if my piece is oversize or overlength?
We can often move it with special handling; tell us dims/weight, center of gravity, and lift points so we can choose the right equipment.
Do you offer packing guidance?
Yes—share photos/specs and we’ll advise best practices per commodity (crating, edge protection, moisture barriers, etc.).
How accurate must the weight/dimensions be?
They must reflect the actual tender. Carriers reweigh/re-dim; discrepancies can trigger re-rates. Use calibrated scales and measure to the farthest point.
How do I get a BOL template or labels?
Ask your rep and we’ll send a BOL template and label guide. We can also generate BOLs for scheduled pickups.
How do I track a shipment?
Use your PRO/reference. If you need help, contact us with origin, destination, and ship date for a status update.
Can you provide EDI/API for status or documents?
Yes for approved programs. Share your integration requirements (events, formats, cadence) and we’ll scope connectivity.
Can you email PODs and invoices?
Yes—electronic delivery is standard. Talk to us about recipients and formats.
What if my freight is lost or damaged?
- Note exceptions on the delivery receipt (photos help)
- Retain packaging/materials
- Contact us promptly with BOL/PRO and photos
We’ll share the claim form and next steps.
What’s covered under standard carrier liability?
Coverage varies by class/commodity and tariff. If your freight value exceeds standard liability, ask about elevated coverage options at quoting time.
How long do I have to file a claim?
Deadlines vary by claim type. File as soon as possible; we’ll confirm timelines and documents needed for your case.
What are your payment terms?
Standard credit terms are available upon approval; otherwise prepayment options are offered. Request a Credit Application to get started.
Can you bill third-party or collect?
Yes—include full bill-to details on the BOL and confirm with your rep. Third-party approval may be required.
How do I dispute a charge or request a copy of an invoice?
Contact billing with the PRO/reference and details. We’ll review documents, reweighs, and accessorial triggers and respond with findings.
Do you carry hazardous materials?
Some hazmat is accepted with pre-approval, proper documentation (SDS, UN/NA, class), and compliant packaging/marking. Share details early to confirm.
Where can I see restricted or prohibited items?
Review our Prohibited & Restricted Items page. When in doubt, ask before shipping.
Are there size/weight limits?
Yes—limits vary by service and equipment. Tell us dims/weight per piece; we’ll confirm feasibility, permits, or special handling if required.
Do you handle temperature-controlled or fragile freight?
Selective options may be available. Provide commodity details, temp range, and packaging so we can advise.
